About Dan

Dan Grentz is a singer and songwriter who has traveled throughout the United States from Florida to California and from Texas to Michigan, singing at churches, camp meetings, youth rallies, county fairs, sporting events and other such gatherings. Recently he has opened up concerts for John Berry, Ronnie McDowell, David Ball, Helen Cornelius and Carrie Tillis. On several occasions, he has also appeared on Three Angels Broadcasting Network satellite television programming. On October 25, 2011, Dan was on WIN 98.5 FM as a featured artist on their “Homegrown” Music segment with Bobby Guy. In the fall of 2008, Dan was the winner of WBCT-B93’s on-air Hometown Showdown II contest with his original country song, “Fast Forty”.

Dan has been singing for as long as he can remember. For four years he sang and traveled with a Christian choral harmony group called the Eternity Singers. Since 1991, Dan has traveled with Buddy Houghtaling as his bass player and background vocalist, and was privileged to be on Buddy’s most recent recordings, “Mercy Road” and “One of Those Clouds”. Dan has recorded a solo gospel project of his own titled “So Much More” which can be previewed on the “Music Previews” page and purchased on the “Shop” page. He was also the executive producer of the Christmas project released by the “Buddy Band” featuring Buddy Houghtaling, Linda Sears, Dan Grentz and Ramon Weber. Dan’s most recent release is a country album of some of his original songs. That album is titled “In Reverse”. It can be previewed on the “Music Previews” page and purchased on the “Shop” page, along with some of the other songs that Dan has written and recorded at Bayou Recording Inc. and Studio 526 in Nashville, TN.

Dan is currently serving as the musical worship leader for the Day Bible Church in Augusta, Michigan. He is also a full-time veterinarian in Delton, Michigan where he lives with his wife Ruth, and their three children, Shadrach Jonathan, Leah Joy and Katherina Joanna.
